"Saria, why'd you call me out here?" Ross asked, twitching his cheeks curiously as he noticed the little brown and tan object next to the leafeon. "What's that?"
Saria giggled, curling her tail around her as she looked up at him. "You may or may not be a father, Ross." She looked so giddy with excitement, but the Raichu was shocked by her statement.
"WHT?! A FATHER?! OH DEAR ARCEUS WHAT DO I DO I DON'T KNOW HOW TO BE A FATHER WHAT IF IT TURNS OUT BADLY WHAT IF I DON'T LOVE IT ENOUGH AND IT GROWS TO HATE ME AND IN A CHAIN YOU START TO HATE ME TOO OH ARCEUS OH ARCEUS OH ARCEUS!!" He freaked out, stuttering and panicking as he stared at the egg that held his possible son anxiously. Saria flicked his nose, calming him slightly. "S-sorry...."
"Don't worry so much, you'll be fine Ross. You have a kind, caring heart that will love this child dearly. Just be yourself and you'll be fine." The leafeon smiled softly, licking his cheek affectionately.
This seemed to calm Ross, as he lost his fearful expression as he blushed. "Thank you Saria...You're so sweet.." He straightened up, lifting his tail. It was late, and he knew their trainer would get worried if they remained out too long. "Well, should we tell the others?" He asked, glancing back on the path home.
"We will, but we should wait. We'll keep this a secret for now. We'll tell them later, okay?"
Ross nodded, noticing the fireflies that floated around as the forest began to get misty. "Well, I suppose we could stay a bit longer. it's so pretty here."
"Yes, and I'm so happy to be able to share this view with you and our unhatched child." Saria chimed, making Ross blush in suprise and a little bit of embarrassment. "You're so cute, Ross.~" She giggled, making him even more shy.
"T-thanks..." Ross stammered slightly, nuzzling her and settling in with her to watch the sun set.
